I watch the Marvel movies and shows, I read the DC comics... comics lol. I also like their animated shows and some of their movies and shows. I'm still quite a newbie to the comics world and money and time prevent me from diving deeper. I have a tiny collection that holds on one shelf for now. Hopefully it can grow bigger with time ! I've also had the luck to read some comics at the local library.

Okay so, first, I'm a Birds of Prey fan. The comics team, I mean. I love Babs, Dinah and Helena a lot and I really wish I had more of their comics (slowly collecting the old ones but no money unu). And I also love Harley. (And Poison Ivy.) So when this movie was announced ? I was thrilled. I was hyped like I was never hyped before and you know I was afraid that my hype would surpass the movie and I would be disappointed but I REALLY WASN'T !!! Best movie ever !!! I love it so much I've seen it multiple times at the cinema. I think I went and watched it 5 times and I would have done more if lockdown and pandemic weren't there.
Of course I'm disappointed by some stuff. Namely, that Babs isn't in the movie (and to, in the end, cancel her own movie, which was apparently the reason she wasn't in BoPatfeooHQ, because, you know, in a multiverse like DC Comics, you can't make a character appear in two different movies........). But the movie itself was so fucking good that I can close my eyes on this.
I really, really, really, really love Jurnee's Black Canary. She's so dope !! I cannot express how much I love her !! Well, I mean, if you look at my drawings from 2019-2021 you can actually see how much I love her, because nearly all I drew was her. I was so fucking hyped by this movie I just non-stop drew Dinah. She absolutely was my muse.
This movie is very dear to me because it was quite a turning point in my life. It caused me to feel so many strong emotions. I use it as my own personal reference. I can't even explain how special and important is it to me. I'll probably write something down at some point. Like, something clean and well thought, not like right now where I'm just rambling to stuff this new page.
She's my fave superhero, ever. I share her super-power in real life (meaning I can scream so high and loud everybody hates me but I can support a show or a demonstration all by myself). She's my roller-derby name. I've always loved fishnets since I'm a kid and it's her main esthetical accessory. She's badass but had a big heart. She's fierce. I love the universes where she's a singer. And I love infinitly Jurnee's Black Canary in BoPatfeooHQ. I haven't drawn her in a while (said in july 2025), I really should watch the movie again to hype me up and draw her again.
How to not love this chaotic mess ? Her comics are absolutely awesome. They're on the verge of gorey that I can stand though. Her solo comics are really fun and I love her chaotic brain and her obsession for food. I love how she just acts depending on how she feels like it or not. Her moral values are as chaotic as her thoughts. She's really fun to follow. I also love her animated show and associated comics a LOT ! I think I haven't finished last season though, ooopsie... Her and Poison Ivy are everything and I love their couple so fucking much. Poison Ivy is also one of my fave (how to not love your local sapphic eco-terrorist ???).
I made a (horrible) drawing of them in 2020 (I really dislike it and failed it on multiple levels aaaaaaaah), and I really should draw them more often. The animated show's comics are also a really nice reference for facial expression so I drew a few from there.
I love Babs both as Oracle in Birds of Prey team and as Batgirl. I really liked the recent comics and her recent suit is freaking gorgeous (me ? biased because it's purple ? and yellow ? so really close to my indigo and gold ? naaaah). I also just love Babs Tarr's drawing style. I'll forever hate DC and Warner for destroying her solo movie because of fucking stupid tax-stuff and therefore destroying the work of so many people for fucking money. Justice for Babs and all the people who worked on this !
Legends of Tomorrow is one of my fave shows ever. I've rewatched it many times. It's exactly the kind of stupid and fun that I love. A Guardians of the Galaxy like, except it's cheaper and it's a tv show. The first season is a bit bland, like, they're nothing really special about it compared to the other Arrowverse shows (they're all shit as well, I said it). The second season is... a bit too much. They've gone too far with the villains and everything, it didn't even make sense. But then. Season 3. They understood what we needed : stupid found family making a mess everywhere they go and trying to make it right the wrong way ! That's the kind I like ! I love LoT so fucking much, really. I'm glad it has quite a diversity of characters as well (could always be better, of course, but it was nice) and I love my lesbian co-captains a bunch. I loved Sara in Arrow and I love her even more in LoT.
Welp, I was there for fandom, right ?!
I never drew her, nor write anything, so this little paragraph will be the proof she existed, but I made a LoT fancharacter. Her name is Sacha (yeaaah another one !) is she's a Black Canary. I just couldn't resist making a canary crying hero.
She's a misfit, a left-out, an anarchist young woman who's lost everything and wants to make a change. She's also a singer. I think she was in a punk band before joining the team. I don't remember much of what I daydreamt up for her unfortunatly, but I do remember one particular scene I had in mind.
I think it's during Crisis on Earth-X or at least t's during one of the crossovers, I don't remember which one exactly, there's a ship coming down with lots of enemies and they all come quite in straight line to the heroes, and the heroes then come running toward them as well. Well, all the Legends of Tomorrow would stop entirely when they see Sacha giggling and humming a melody, because they know her, but the other heroes would keep running and then slow down not understanding why the Legends stopped. And Sacha would start singing "Centuries" by Fall Out Boy, the chorus, before canary crying the whole lot away, screeching everyone's ears on the way.
