One Piece

Long story short ? One Piece is my life.
It has been since I was 13, when I stumbled upon a Skypiea episode on TV during a weekend, and then watched the next ones, and then it changed for Water Seven during week days. Yup, there was Skypiea on weekends and Water Seven on week days. It's like that. My very first episode was ep 165 (Skypiea), when the crew reunites and Nami tells them that it's actually a part of Jaya, and therefore the gold city is in the right eye of the skull. I don't remember my very first Water Seven episode but it was around the Agua Laguna and the Puffing Tom's departure to Enies Lobby.
Since then I've moved on to reading the weekly chapters, both scans and official translations, in english and french mainly. Meaning I'm always up to date, eh ! I also have all the volumes at home and buy the new one when it's released in France (I think we're 1 year / 4 volumes late compared to Japan). The french edition is shit for many stuff but I need the volumes to re-read easily and find specific informations I know I will spent more time finding online.
But being part of the fandom isn't solely reading the chapters : I'm a fanartist and a fanfiction writer. One Piece is actually the fandom for which I have the most stories ! I have a main fanfiction I started when I started One Piece, with my main OC Zara ; a schoolfic based from this main fanfiction, so still with Zara ; and now I've got a self-insert fanfiction which I still haven't posted online ; and many one shots. Oh, I'm writing in french, by the way.
And I've been fanarting ever since as well. Both "regular" fanart and art for my fanfictions. I had a gender bending moment, when it was popular on DeviantArt. (Actually, my pseudonyme comes from this ! "Zorume" was first the name for my gender bent version of Zoro. I then adopted it for myself.) And I have more than 50 Original Characters in my main fanfic.

My faves

Zoro Roronoa

He's always been my fave. I always had a soft spot for swordfolks in any fandom, but Zoro is way more than a swordsman. He's tough but kind in his own way, protective and selfless, and most importantly : as stupid as his captain. How he protects the crew, his dedication to his own promise to Kuina and to Luffy, all the japanese puns in his attacks names, the way he's very spiritous but will never ever pray to a god, the way he can ground Luffy or be his sworst enabler... There's so many things truly cool about him.
I know the OP fandom tends to see him as "muscle badass guy who's hyper strong but stoic" and dudebros suck him off so bad, but I love Zoro for everything but his muscles, lol. I love Zoro for his soft side. The one that made him protect Rika against Helmeppo and eat her rice balls straight from the ground and asked Luffy to tell her they were great. When he's kind to Chopper, worries about Sanji during the Grog Ring, Thriller Bark and Onigashima, takes care of the crew at Water Seven, asks Chopper if he can handle things on his own at Onigashima, attacks Kaidou when Luffy is unconscious and tells him he gotta kill him first, asks Law to handle things after his last attack...
Yes, I got a lot of things to talk about when it comes to Zoro.

Fave fight : Alabasta, Versus Mr 1. Honorable mention to Kaku for making a really fun fight and allowing Zoro to enable Ashura 9 swords style.

Perona

My Goth Ghost Princess ! I love her so fucking much ! She's amazing ! I love her style, her devil fruit, her laugh, she's cute and terrific at the same time... She's purrfect. I'm so glad she wasn't just a Thriller Bark enemy and we got to see her again many times. The fact Zoro ends up with her at Mihawk's manor is pure comedy and I LOVE the Goth Family they form together. The timeskip must have been so much fun with those three together, Perona annoying the hell out of Zoro all the fucking time.
Now my only wish is to see her again. I hope she has managed to save Moria from BlackBeard. I also hope we'll see her again interacting with the Strawhats (especially Zoro, of course). Having her for a few minutes in Stampede movie was really cool, but damn, I want more of her Q.Q)
Fave attack : Don't we all love her Negative Hollows ? hahaha
Fave outfit : Kind of hard to say since she's got only 2 outfits. I love drawing goth outfits for her though.
Fave moment : When the Strawhats first encounter her and she negatives everyone but Usopp still stands tall, hahaha !
Fave quote : « You're much cuter when you don't talk. »
Fave fight : Well, we only got one and it's the best : versus Usopp !

Jewelry Bonney

I loved her since her first appearance but damn, the Egg Head flashback... Poor thing *sob*. Since quite amazing, honestly. The girl is rocking the Grand Line and making the Marines mad by turning them to elders or toddlers and she just go off laughing. That's pretty badass. I love her style, she's a little punk so of course she was gonna win my heart. I love the punks, hehe.
Her past is really one of the worst from all One Piece and we already had so many fucked up pasts (Sanji, Nami, Robin, Law...)... I hope they can fix Kuma and he can live hapily with Bonney, dammit !
Fave attack : blah
Fave outfit : She kinda has the same outfit all the time with with different colours, and Egg Head doesn't really got great outfits, lol. But I think I prefer her original outfit, from Sabaody ! Love the high socks' pattern.
Fave moment : When she prevents Zoro from killing Saint Charlos + little Bonney throwing her middle finger at the kids who make fun of her.
Fave quote : « How dare you... all those things you did to daddy...!! What you did to mommy!! How dare you call yourself a god?! Real gods do exists!! Real heroes too!! All I ever wanted was for the three of us to live in peace!! Being alone for so long made me wanna die!! But I kept going!! I owe everything to those two!! They've blessed me in so many ways!! »
Fave fight : That punch she gave to Saturn. Well deserved.

Trafalgar Law

I love him to DEATH, lol. Damn I'm asexual and he's like the only character that could make me say "fuck he's hot". For real. He's also a dork and a nerd and an emo punk, so big win for me. Also a swordman, with a goddamn pretty sword, hella cool tattoos and a brat punky smirk. Oh and he's the one who's allowed to raise his middle finger (high five to Bonney for this) ! This dude got everything. I only wish to see him again in the manga, preferably ALIVE AND WELL AND REUNITING WITH HIS ALIVE AND WELL CREW, FUCK YOU ODA *ugly sob*.

My fanfictions

ZoRa

The main and first fanfiction I started to create right when I started One Piece. It features my OC Zara as main character, joining the Strawhats at Water Seven. It's pretty Mary-Sue and dumb, I was 13 when I started it. I wrote it on my phone notes (just at the start of smartphones, so it was with limited characters) during class, sent it to my bestfriend who read it and then sent it back to me via e-mail so I could compile it on a doc on my computer. It was really an adventure on itself just writing it. I had the luck to have my bestfriend as number 1 fangirl who pushed me to keep writing so I did a pretty good number of pages for this... but it was only as a draft ! And then I never wrote it properly so it's still a rough draft for most parts.
Now, it clearly has little value. It's a badly written teenage fanfiction but I'm still very proud of having written it.
Let's sum it up quickly : Zara Sora is 17 years old and lives in Water Seven, homeless, drinking bottles to forget she has nothing left. On the day of the Aqua Laguna, she goes into the Under City to steal stuff, now that the people are gone. She encounters a wild Zoro Roronoa and saves him from the chimney he's stuck into. They get back to the Upper City together and separate ways. But they exchanged swords : Zara has the First Kitetsu and she lent it to Zoro so he could free himself, so when Chopper gives back Third Kitetsu to Zoro, they mix it up and get away with the wrong sword. Realising it, Zara chases them to the Rocketman and tags along right on time just to get her sword back. But now it's too late to go back to Water Seven. She joins the rescue team to Enies Lobby.
In this fanfiction I've also developped something : the demoniac soul. I had this idea thanks to Zoro's Ashura attack with the demonic appearance. I theorised that Zoro was actually part demon, and also made Zara a demon. Their demoniac soul allow them to use it outside of their bodies, creating a foggy-like subtance that extends their senses and power. They're fast and powerful when using it. Issue is Zara doesn't really control it. Their demoniac soul is also linked to their Kitetsu blades, since they're cursed.
I changed most of the crew afterwards : no Franky, no Brook (I think I changed that in the middle of the fanfic lol), Perona in, Bonney in. Don't ask questions, I don't remember why I made half the choices I did. Perona and Bonney are my faves, so of course I was gonna add them, but nothing do really makes sense, honestly. Like I said : teenage fanfiction.

ZoRa Highschool

Another ZoRa fanfiction ! It's a schoolfic in our world this time. I made it not long after starting ZoRa I think. Maybe one or two years later. Yeah, I think I was 15 when I started it. It's the only fanfiction I've actually finished. I'm really proud of this as well, but the quality is only a bit higher than ZoRa : still a teenage fanfiction, with in mind breaking some stereotypes but in the end enforcing them, lol. Damn I really was caught up in our society even though I really didn't want to.
Okay enough chatting about teeenage quality. Plot is : Zara is a new classmate in a very full class and gets to sit next to Zoro, in the back, and all Zoro does is sleep during classes, except for sport and japanese. Her dad is horrible to her and wants her to be the best student so she could be useful to him.
And honestly that's kinda it lol. I mean. Since then I reworked this fanfiction a dozen times and I'm starting to get something actually interesting. But the first version really had many plot holes and no real direction. The only thing that matters is Zara ending up with Zoro.
Now I've got better ideas and worldbuilding for this : France after a war, country destroyed, many orphans, Marie-Geoise being one of the very few cities to have been spared because it's the city of the rich. Zara's dad is quite rich and they live in this city so Zara goes to "The Celestial", the private high school. Zara is half-italian from her mom, and during the war, they went hiding there, at her mom's family house, so they didn't live the war in any way. The Vinsmoke are also at Marie-Geoise and The Celestial, and Niji is onto Zara since they're 13. (will continue this later)

My Self-Insert Fanfiction

That's the fanfiction I'm currently writing. I started it in autumn 2021, after my best friend introduced me to "This Bites!", a really great self-insert fanfiction that has gathered many fans (I still haven't read it entirely, I'm at post-Enies Lobby lol, it's so fucking long). I was in depression back then, and writing this was kinda my therapy. I started it at Loguetown, throwing myself into this world. Cliché but I wanted to keep my memories and be actually me and not a character that would have been born and raised into One Piece world. As of December 2024, I'm no longer in depression and I'm starting Thriller Bark with chapter 35 !
This is my biggest achievement ever, even though I was supposed to post it online after finishing Alabasta arc... I started correcting it but never finished so it's still not posted ! I'm the worst at deadlines, lol. But I wrote so much and I'm still on it after 3 years so it's definitly my biggest achievement ever.
